After Christmas, the city provides recycling for live Christmas trees ONLY at various locations. Please ensure that all lights, garland, tinsel, stands, spikes, plastic, and any other types of attachments are removed from the trees. Flocked trees must not be taken to any of these locations as they are NOT recyclable. No other waste, garbage, or commercial dumping is acceptable. Mixed loads of trees and garbage cannot be recycled and are taken to the dump, which significantly increases the cost to the city. Residents are responsible to get the trees to the designated recycling locations within the city, as curbside pickup is not available.
Recycling locations for live Christmas trees ONLY will be available at the following locations:
Mesquite Soccer Park parking lot, 10440 N. Mesquite Way
Heritage Park parking lot, 4425 W. Cedar Hills Drive
Take trees to the designated drop-off areas from December 26 through January 8, 2020. With everyone’s considerate compliance, the city will be able to continue this service.
